Bear Lake

The Allen family reunion (Pehrson's mom's side of the family) was up in Bear Lake this year and it was so much fun. I had never been there before but have heard so much about it. One word to describe this place: BEAUTIFUL! The blue water, the green grass, the mountains with the snow caps...it was picture perfect.

And it was great to get away from LA for a week and spend some time with this boy.

We stayed right on the lake at Ideal Beach Resort which turned out to be a great place for all ages. They had a park. Here is Pehrson (the oldest cousin) spinning his cousins till they got sick.

and wakeboard...i didn't get a picture. but we went AND it was COLD! we wore our wetsuits in the water. ha

Bear Lake is famous for their raspberry shakes and they did not disappoint. I got two. (get one if you ever go there) The town is small and there were so many cool buildings and farm lands I could've taken pictures all day long...which I sort of did.

And whats a family reunion without matching shirts. We decided to tye-dye this year. Always a hit!

I was a little worried about how Beck would do with all these people being passed from person to person, but he did great! And he also did surprisingly well traveling, pretty much just slept the whole time on the plane, it was wonderful. Can't wait for the next reunion in two years, by then Pehrson will be a dentist and Beck will be 2 1/2. Crazy! Thanks everyone for a great trip. Love you all!

6 monther...half birthday.

Stats

height: 28 inches long (95%)

weight: 17 lbs (45%)

My doctor said he was a spaghetti noddle. And that he is underweight which is crazy because he is a chunk, but since he is so tall i guess he should weigh more. But I think he is perfect! And she said it was absolutely nothing to worry about.

• he is still super happy and flirts with strangers in the store
• can sit in the front of a shopping cart. (mommy loves not having to drag the car seat in)
• likes to sit but LOVES to stand. He is always reaching for my hands or whatever is in front of him and can totally pull himself up. It's really funny in the bath because its so slippery.
• is seriously so close to crawling. From a sitting position he will lean forward and push up on all fours, he'll start rocking back and forth. He moves backwards but hasn't gone forwards yet.
• is eating baby food now and doing pretty well. His facial reactions to new stuff is priceless.
• babbles ALL day long.
• has been a little constipated (TMI) sorry. But I have to feed him prune juice. (poor guy) hopefully the fruits & vegetables will regulate him, we are on our second day.
• rolls his wrists around in circles constantly. (i guess daddy did that when he was little too)
• knows when i leave him or give him to someone else. sometimes he is fine, but other times he freaks out. when i go to the gym and leave him with daycare he only lasts 45 minutes. which really is only 30 minutes because they let them cry for 15. But he's got to get used to it, so ill continue to bring him. mean mom?
• he is just growing up before our eyes.

oh and did I mention that he is HAPPY!

We love you Beck...more and more every second!

Work Hard...Play Hard

This post is WAYYY overdo but it is still worth documenting. In the middle of April Pehrson went on his international trip with Ayuda. He had a blast, of course and we missed him a lot, of course. But here are some pictures of this beautiful place they stayed for 10 days.

It was a little island and they rode bikes around everywhere.

The place they stayed is behind them. What a dream!

But this family rides around on a scooter. Chicken and all!

And here is the reason why they come.

And they get to do some fun things while they are there too. Like snorkling in this warm water.

And visiting these ruins.

It was another successful trip and a great group.

Again...i've said this before and i'll probably say it again. But I just hope that I can join Pehrson someday, so fun and so rewarding.

M Day

Memorial Day weekend was great. The weather was perfect. We had to take advantage and Pehrson didn't have school on friday so we started a little early. So friday morning we headed down south and went to the beach/beaches...(we went to 3 different ones, for 3 different reasons) Beck was such a trooper, sitting there, playing with the sand,

We stayed all night and had a bonfire with some friends. It was a perfect day. We were all smiles.

And the sunset wasn't too bad either.

The next morning we went on a hike with this cute couple. She is a dental student and he is applying for medical school right now. I was surrounded by "doctors" or soon-to-be, so I felt very safe and protected in case anything were to happen.

It was a gorgeous hike in the san gabriel mountains up here in pasadena. Beck LOVES being outside and was just talking to us the whole way up and was then asleep the whole way back. (not the best hair day for any of us. ha)

I love hikes that end with a waterfall and this one did not disappoint. It was a very powerful waterfall. And super pretty.

Then after our hike we went to our Stake Carnival. Little B went on his first big slide with daddy.

It was very tiring.

Then monday we went to another beach up in Malibu that sort of felt like we were in Laguna. It was a beach in a little cove.

And im sorry but this face...seriously! It kills me. He is just to precious.

Weather Man. Thank You! for sending us good weather, it is very much appreciated. You can keep it coming all summer long Beck and I need to work on our tans! =]
