We went to Sacramento to visit the Hawkley's a couple weeks ago. Most importantly the newest Hawkley, Kasen! He is so cute and Beck & Jade just couldn't get enough of him. As usual it was a blast. Our days were busy and filled with activities which was just the way we like it. It is so beautiful up there, they live up against this hill that had one of the best tree swings I've ever seen (if only there were some water underneath it would have been perfect!)
We spent the first day visiting the temple and then going to a river to ride bikes and eat lunch. It was a little windy but so pretty.
We also discovered some trails close to their house all over the mountains. You could spend hours up there exploring new trails. P and I had a blast discovering this area, it was beautiful.
Classic cousin bathtub pic.
Then we went to the fun city of San Francisco. Rode a cable car, saw the bridge, did some hikes, watched the seals and saw the giant sequoias.
Beck & Jade loving on sweet little Kasen even though Beck insisted on calling him "Baby" the whole time.
The next day Pehrson and Tyson got to fly this plane. They were like little kids on Christmas morning.

Then we went shooting. Guns scare me and I have an awful shot but i tried a couple times and then decided i liked being a cheerleader on the sidelines with my two buddies instead. =]
And last but not least. We sold our car while up there. It was time. But still really sad. While we were driving up there a guy called and said he lived in San Francisco but would fly down to orange county to pick it up. Lucky for him (and us) we were on our way up there. He bought the car and two tickets for us to fly home. So it worked out for all parties. We LOVED this car. Seriously LOVED it! I would recommend it to anyone. For the past 4 years it has been on many camp outs, many road trips, brought home two babies, got us all over LA never getting a ticket or accident...but it is time to move on and find something new. Thanks for all the great memories.... you will always have a little place in my heart.
