the color Red!

i put on a red watch this morning...
And for some reason the color was so vibrant and cool to me today. then i looked around our house and noticed how many red things we have and how much it stood out to me today. While i was riding my bike to work i had my camera in hand and just took pictures along the way, i couldn't believe how much the red colors in the world stood out to me.

RED-when i think of red, i think of a hot 4th of july day eating watermelon and seeing American flags waver in the wind! Or i think of people saying to never buy a red car because cops notice them more. Or i think of the personality color code test and if you get red, i believe it means you like to be in charge, you are demanding, strong willed, controlling, likes things done their way. (i have no red in me). Or i think...sexy! Red roses! Red lipstick! Red heels!

i feel like this is kind of a random post and who really cares right? well, this morning made me think a little bit. How come we don't notice things unless you have interest in it? For example, when pehrson and i were thinking about buying a bike, we just kept looking and looking at other peoples bikes until we found ours. Or like when you are injured or sick, you notice other people who are injured and sick much more than when you are healthy...ah im not making sense. BUT, all im saying is that i wish people (me included) could open their eyes a little more and be mindful of the things around them.

God is such a beautiful artist! Maybe its because i live in paradise and i'm surrounded by beauty. But there is beauty EVERYWHERE! and i want to challenge you to recognize it everyday. I'm so grateful to live in a place where i can fully enjoy God's creations, watching a sunrise or a sunset still amazes me because they are all different and all beautiful in their own way.

I love life!

I totally get you and loved your post. There's something about being an art major that really makes you stop and see all the beauty around you. It makes you realize that God is the master creator, and since we all have a little piece of him, it's no wonder that it each of us have the innate need to create.
