Pehrson had an awesome trip with Ayuda. He and some of his dental school classmates went to Panama for 10 days and gave dental care to as many people as they could. It was pretty hard work and they were in the middle of the jungle serving an indian tribe. There was no electricity, no running water...pretty much nothing! It was extremely humid and they just sweat all day long. But, they helped a lot of people and got a couple days to explore the area. Here are some of my favorite pics...there are SO many it was hard to narrow them down. This first one is there visit to the panama canal.
Some of them got to see the Panama temple and even do a session.
This is in the village. Very humble lifestyle.
This is their Chief.

Doing the pledge allegiance
The set up in one of the classrooms, they had the kids lie on desks and just went at it.
I love this picture. Many of these kids have never seen a camera before so they loved seeing themselves on the screen. Pehrson said that some of these kids have never even seen a white person before and when they walked into one of the classrooms one of the little girls screamed! ha
Eating candy. Just hanging out. (i love the girl with the towel on her head)
Really cool tree.
The Kids.
One night they went to a baseball game and it was against two really close cities. I guess it was pretty intense.
A couple of the days they had to hike up to other villages and find people that they can treat and to tell them about the clinic at the school. Look at this trail? non-existant.
Look at the faith in this little girls eyes. Totally trusting Pehrson with whatever he is doing.
Coconut.
Cute little girl with her candy.
Red frogs.
Don't worry he got some surfing in. A couple guys rented boards and took a boat ride to this break in the middle of the ocean. Surfed for about 3 hours while there boat driver just waited for them and then they got taken back.
The group. Tired and worn out. But blessed for all the hard work they did. Good job guys!
Looks like they had a blast. Maybe one of these years. Wives will be invited! =]
