not your typical halloween

our halloween this year consisted of beach, beautiful weather, a visit with Pehrson's brother and roommate, no candy, and Knott's scary farm! It was a lot of fun, but we weren't aloud to dress up =[ and if you know me you know that i love dressing up. Luckily, we went to a party the week before and we got to dress up...we were "s'mores" it was pretty sweet. I hope everyone had a great halloween weekend. Next year we are going to have awesome scary costumes. I've been food for too many halloweens. (otter pop, popcorn, jelly belly and smores) ha i need to think of something new.

We had some friends over yesterday to carve pumpkins and eat some cake. I made carrot cake (from scratch) I was pretty proud of how it turned out.

Dear Blog,
Sorry I keep neglecting you. I asked the Lord for some work and work did I get! I am working an average of 13 hours a day and when I get home all I want to do is hang out with my husband. So once things cool down a bit, I will get back to you. But, in the meantime I will think of some awesome things to write about!

Sincerely,
Me

Little Kids thoughts on Love...enjoy!

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'

He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother askd what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
'Nothing, I just helped him cry
"Love is when your husband gives you flowers just for fun!"

I hope everyone in the world can find true love because there is nothing else like it.
