Date NIght

P and i went on a date saturday. We went on a bike ride, had a picnic, played uno and tennis, then finished the night with some frozen yogurt. I always have so much fun with this guy. Our lives are going to change soon so we treasure the times when it's just the two of us.
And here is the lastest pic...i am definitely getting BIG! I feel like my stomach can't stretch anymore but i still have some time and i know it will get bigger...yikes! But, everything is still going smooth and baby is moving around like crazy. Some nights i can't fall asleep cause he is having a dance party in there. (and i wouldn't have it any other way)
Still don't have a name picked out. But working on it. We love you baby!!!
I think it has come to an end....
But I just wanted to document what our summer has been like. Lots of weddings. We love you all!!

Like father...Like son

This is a story about a man, a manly man, who knew how to use tools and built beds for his family.
He had the most adorable boy...
Who also grew up to be a manly man
He learned how to use tools and built his first bed.
It turned out great and it made his wife very happy.
So glad for fathers like this one who taught their boys to be men.

Us girls REALLY appreciate it!

"A good father's son will turn out like his father."

Funny people:

A couple weeks ago at girls camp:
on the first day,
girl, "wait...are you pregnant?"
me: YAY! and it's awesome.
girl: "oh good...cause i just thought you were fat"
and every day after that at camp she would come up and tell me i looked bigger than the day before. thanks little 12 year old girl. I would love to see how you look when you are pregnant some day. ha (i think she was trying to be nice)

At the gas station:

a GUY: "you're having a boy uh?"
me: yeah how did you know?
guy: "because you are pointy."
me: (um...thanks?)

Target:

Girl, "You're having a boy. You know how i know?...it's because your belly button is sticking out and that only happens to woman who are having boys. (she was probably 15)
I just smiled and said, "oh, i've never heard that before!"

I love how everyone has an opinion about pregnancy. What's good. What's not. But i wish i could capture every look i get during the day. The other mothers with big grins on their faces. People doing the double take. People looking at my belly, then my ring finger, then my belly again. I wonder what they are thinking.

Overall i have loved being pregnant! I'm sure some of you out there cringe when you hear that. But, it has been good to me and it is such a miracle to watch. The other night Pehrson and I were laying in bed and baby was going crazy inside. We just watched him move around and push my stomach out over and over again. I loved it! and i Love HIM!

3 more months...we can do this little guy!

Spokane!

Right when I got home from girls camp we got on a plane and went to Spokane, WA to visit my G-parents and cousins. We had a blast. My sisters and their husbands all came. None of our boys had ever been to Washington before so it was fun to show them what we used to do every summer growing up.
tradition: "Welcome to Spokane" picture in the airport!
Went to Riverfront Park.
Went to Liberty Lake. And had the place to ourselves. It was gorgeous!
look at that belly...
And then went cliff jumping at Couer 'd Alene Lake
And even got to squeeze in a session at the Spokane Temple.
Our days were packed. We need a vacation after our vacation. Lets just hope that i have the same energy my grandparents have. They didn't stop and wore us out every day. It was awesome. Grandma's goal was to put 5 pounds on each of us and she was successful. Thanks family for being so cool. We had so much fun and will definitely have to do this more often.

(We REALLy missed you Kyle, Kylee, Luke and Lily)

Girls Camp

I got to go to girls camp with these pretty ladies last week and had a blast. We went up to camp Morning Star by Big Bear. We went rock wall climbing, zip lining, hiking, we did skits, sang LOTS of songs, had little sleep and ate junk food...what more could you want? (oh yeah and it was really spiritual too!) =]
(i'm on the left...just look for the preggo belly)

The benefits of living in California...

Went to go to the X games last week with some friends. We got into the skateboard session of the vert "best trick" it brought me back to a time in hawaii when i really wanted to learn how to "drop in" at the north shore skate park (mostly just because i wanted P to think i was cool) and i fell really hard. Those guys make it look easy. Skating just isn't my thing...yet!
Got to go to this guys wedding...it was super fun. And he looked like this ALL day. Pure joy!

All the groomsmen...basically my high school life right here. Just missing Jessica. =]
The beautiful newlyweds!
And of course the tye-dye shoes with T (for Tyler) and R (for Rachelle)
Randomly saw this newly returned missionary on the temple grounds. Those missionaries...so spiritual!
Our friends Matty, Lindsay and their little girl Parker are staying with us for a couple weeks and it has been awesome. I can't wait to have a little baby roaming around this place in a couple months. I thought this picture was epic. Three grown-ups changing baby girls diaper. (please note Matty's safety googles...just in case.)
Love this face...and those two little teeth.
We also got to go to Julian Wilson's new surf premiere movie on friday. We saw lots of pro surfers. Pehrson was a little star struck (to say the least). Every 10 minutes he would go, "kate you just walked by....." he was excited! it was pretty cool.
then the next day we went to the US open and saw all those guys in the water. It definitely made the contest more exciting. It was a beautiful sunny day and my sisters and their hubbies came too. i love that we get to see each other so much...(kyle and kylee MOVE down here!!)
gotta have a belly pic.
Oh yeah. I felt the baby kick me today...like 4 or 5 times. It was AMAZING! I can't believe my body is creating a body. Unbelievable but SoOOOooOOoOo cool! I love this little guy so much and i don't even know what to call him yet. (any suggestions?)

I hope everyone else is enjoying their summer...i can't believe its august. Summers disappear when you are working inside all day. So we HAVE to live up the weekends as much as possible.
