Lots of pictures...

When Pehrson got back from his trip we decided to go on a little two day get away. We drove up to Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo. It was absolutely beautiful. And it almost felt like we were in another state or country. SO much green every where and open space.
Our first stop was a hike called Bishops Peak. It was just gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice.
Beck was ready to get down.
We found a nice little hotel in Morro Bay for the night.
And the next day we explored this town. We went to the beach, Pehrson surfed but it was WAY too cold. He went out caught one wave and then came back in. Beck and I just stayed in the car and watched. =]
This cowboy asked Pehrson if he was gonna go knee boarding...HA
After that we headed up to Hearst Castle. It's a huge castle on top of the hill overlooking the pacific coast. Here is the main part of the castle
and here is the view from Hearst's front yard. WOW!
he had two pools one inside and one out.
There were antiques and statues that he collected from all over the world. This guy was loaded.
It's a california national park now. So you have to go on a guided tour. It was really cool but probably just a one time thing for us. And it didn't hurt that it was an absolutely gorgeous day! After the castle we went to an elepahant sea lion beach i had no idea there would be this many...
Then we went to pismo beach. I had never been there and it was such a cute little beach town. P and i loved it there. We ate at a cute little cafe and then checked out the beach. And yep you guessed it...P had to go in. Again...it was way too cold for my fancy. Almost everyone out there was wearing hoods and booties. But it was beautiful
and i was able to watch pehrson from the pier while beck and I talked about life.
and enjoyed the sunset
There are so many fun things to do in california, we have barely even scraped the surface. I love these little getaways, exploring a new city with my boys.

im 25!

I am one year older and wiser too! Pehrson was on an Ayuda trip in Belize for the first week of his break which conveniently landed on my birthday again. (it will be like this for two more years :-[ But he still pulled through! Even though it wasn't as extravagant as last year there was still some thought put into it.

For those of you who know me really well know that I am not the biggest fan of feet (especially if they are touching me) but contrary to what Pehrson says I'm definitely getting better! So this years theme was feet. He gave this picture to me the day he left.
He told me to go get a pedicure and buy some nail polish. I bought a pair of shoes instead of the nail polish...but I stayed with the theme.
I asked for the same thing I asked for on my 10th birthday...ROLLERBLADES! These are seriously so much fun. B and I have gone on a couple adventures now and we just love them.
He also got me a soccer ball because we realized the other day that we didn't own a soccer ball and that just can't happen in this household with two soccer loving people.

I helped with pre-prom that night and then went out with some of my girls in south pas for some frozen yogurt (another one of my favorite things!) So all in all it was a great birthday. A big thanks to my friends and family who remembered me on my day! I love you all!

Four Months!

Stats:
weight: 15 lbs 6 oz. (60%)
height: 27.25 in (98%)
So we have a very tall boy on our hands!

-He is LAUGHING!!!! awww it's like music to the ears.
-He is super ticklish...just like his daddy.
-He is sitting up on his own for very long periods of time.
-Loves to be up and observing the world. When you lay him on his back he tries to lift his head and legs...sort of like a crunch. He is already working on his hawkley abs.
-He falls asleep on his side. He just grabs his blanket and rolls to his side. Its the cutest thing.
-Loves being outside!!!
-Had his first "real" bonfire night with tinfoil dinners and s'mores.
-Loves watching other kids
-Wakes up in the morning with a BIG smile on his face when I come in to get him.
-Left me for a night for the second time. But did great for daddy.
-He doesnt really like laying on your chest to fall asleep. He has to be looking out. Sad =[
-He is the best person to go on walks and runs and rollerblading outings with. He just looks at the sky and all the trees.
-his hair is getting lighter...we might have a blondie coming. Or like a strawberry blonde.
-Doesn't really roll over as much. He used to do it everytime we put him on his stomach, but now he just goes when he feels like it.
-Is starting to put everything in his mouth that he can.
-Tried formula with him for the first time this month and he did great!
-And he might be getting a bottom tooth...I felt it today...is that too early??

We love you Beckster...more and more every second.

O the bumbO

Is this not the cutest face? As you know already this kid loves bath time. Well, he is getting a little to big for the sink in our apartment so Pehrson had this wonderful idea to bring the bumbo into the shower. I was skeptical at first, but I think he likes it....
happy easter everyone!

So Cal Ragnar

April 15th-16th. I was anticipating and dreading these days at the same time. It was the weekend of the So Cal Ragnar and I signed up when I was pregnant thinking i'd have plenty of time to get ready and in shape for this. Well, I never had a baby before and didn't realize I couldn't run the very next day after delivery...so a month later I put my shoes back on and hit the pavement. It felt good...but I realized it wasn't gonna be easy. SO I tried to get out and run every other day if not more. I was slowly feeling more confident and was glad that i had a goal cause I probably wouldn't have gone out as much and I need to lose that baby weight! So the date came whether I was ready or not and my goal was to just do my best! And i think i accomplished that.
So for those who don't know, Ragnar is a Relay race. We had 12 girls in 2 cars. We started the race in Huntington Beach and like 32 hours later we finished in San Diego (200.9 miles). It was intense and I couldn't have picked a funner group to go with. We took a lot of pictures! Had little sleep. Had a glow stick dance party to keep us awake. And cheered each other on in the 90 degree weather. (it was SO hot!)
One of the exchange points...there were 1000 teams (if i remember right) who are all these crazy people who pay someone to go run in the middle of the night...?? ME!
Our beloved captain Jenny had her husband Wyatt run the last leg with her. I'm sure she appreciated it.
And guess what...Pehrson came and ran the last leg with me too! I was the very LAST runner in our group so I did a lot of waiting...(which was exhausting in itself) but it worked out great because Pehrson was able to come. I honestly don't think I could've finished it without him. I kept saying "i want to walk" and he would say "no...you can do it! the faster we go the faster we finish" I was physically and emotionally drained. When I saw P and little Beck i may have shed a tear or two. I was just so excited to see them. AND i was sick of pumping for two days. (you mothers know what I'm talking about) And of course here he is in his board shorts and vans...the only way he likes to run. =]
Since I was the last runner it was fun to see my whole team at the end they joined me for the last 50 yards. Our team name was "i'd rather be...Shopping!" and there was probably a little truth to that. ha
This was the first ragnar for a lot of us and we had a blast! It's just such a good feeling to accomplish something like this. So glad I got to be a part of this team. (please notice that my ipod is still in)
And SO glad to have this kid in my arms again.
Don't mind us we are pretty sweaty but a family that runs together stays together. (cheesy?...i know!)
What next...maybe a mud run or i think it would be fun to do another triathlon. We will see. What a fun weekend.

Terra Bella 2011

Ayuda went on their annual Terra Bella Trip in march. It looks like they had a lot of fun...maybe too much. I guess this little city in California looks forward to this every year and since these students are giving free dental care the city wants to repay them. So they feed them and entertain them.
And there was some dental work done too...
They go on the international trip next week! And I personally think that this is such a cool experience for these students. Even though the wives might be a little jealous (ME!) cause they get to go to so many cool places, I'm glad that P gets to do this...and he will just have to owe me some trips in like 10 years so we are even. =]

WARNING: NUDITY!

this is probably a post that will embarrass Beck someday. But nothing is better than a naked baby! And bath time is such a happy time. Here are some pics of this cutie in the bath...
(grandma's sink)
that little body just kills me! ha
And if this doesn't put a smile on your face then I don't know what will, but i need a good caption. Help me out!
I love you all the time Beckster...but especially when you're in your birthday suit!
