Jade is 3 months old can you believe it?
weight: 12 lbs (50th%)
length: (60th%)

-Her brother has loved her from the very beginning. He is always smothering her with kisses as much as possible. When he wakes up in the morning or after a nap, he always looks for her first thing. Once he sees her he says "goodmorning Jade"
-She has been to the beach too many times to count. Touched the sand at 4 days old. Loves putting her feet in the water. loves laying under the umbrella looking around while the wind blows across her face
-she is cooing and smiling. LOVE IT!
-She HATES the car. Not her carseat. Just the car. Usually babies fall asleep in the car right? Well not this girl. She screams the WHOLE time!
-She cat naps all day long. Never longer than 30 min. BUT luckily she does pretty good at night.
-Loves to be swaddled and Held. Which makes it hard sometimes to get things done.
-Loves to be outside.
-Slept through her first fireworks show on the 4th of July.
-Has been to Disneyland once so far. But will be going a lot more very soon.
-She is so fun to dress up! Girls clothes are the best.
-She is a sweaty little girl (just like I was I guess) she always wakes up pretty wet. It doesn't help that we have no AC and it has been super hot here lately.
-Loves to be standing while you hold her hands OR her favorite position is the football hold.
-She eats pretty good. (it all goes straight to those cheeks)
-She has already been to her first girls camp.
-Likes sitting in the bumbo right in front of the fan.
-Just recently found her hands and sucks them like crazy.
-She is a sucker. She loves to have something in her mouth. Takes the paci really well.
-Has been given 3 pedicures already, by her one and only mother.
-does a really good job following Beck and I around. If she is moving she does great.

We sure love having this little angel in our home. She has been a little harder than Beck was, but we are figuring her out and just love every inch of her cute little chubby body.

Beck is
21 months old
weight: 30th%
height: 90th%

-He is SOOO busy!
-is climbing, running, jumping on anything and everything.
-Still loves to be outside
-loves being in the water. Although sometimes when we are at the beach he wants to go straight into the water and splash around. But sometimes he is a little more scared and totally content just digging and playing in the sand.
-Talks ALL DAY LONG! Sometimes gibberish, but surprises me everyday at the things he has heard me say. He is seriously like a little sponge right now, just learning so much and repeating EVERYTHING. I would say that he easily knows 100 words.
-Absolutely LOVES animals. His top favorite that we talk about everyday are: Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Birdies, Zebras and dogs.
-has learned the beauty of a tantrum. Throwing his body on the floor and screaming. It's always my favorite when he does it in public and everyone turns and stares at me.
-His diet consists of fruits. Chicken nuggets. Quesadillas. Beans. Oatmeal. Cereal. Sometimes yogurt. And veggie smoothies. That's about it! (and fruit snacks)
-Loves saying Hi and talking to random people. At the beach he will go from one umbrella to the next saying Hi to everyone and scooping out who has the best sand toys.
-Loves Mickey Mouse, Cars, Elmo, Go Diego Go, and Curious George.
-He is at the Best age to take to Disneyland. Loves seeing the characters and everything around him.
-Makes me laugh daily if not hourly.
-Always has to have a car, or train or dinosaur in his hand.
-Takes one nap during the day, usually about 2 hours long.
-Whenever I hold up my phone to take his picture he automatically will say, "cheeeeeeeseee"
-Has the cutest little voice and I love listening to him say things. Especially "MAMA"
-says the numbers 7,8,9,10 or 4,5,6 or 1,2 but never all of them together.
-LOVES his cousins. Says, Luke, Dane, Lilly and Quincy all the time and his friends, Maya, Cohen, Bryn, Krew. One time I was driving and Beck was just staring out the window, I asked. "Beck what are you thinking about?" without hesitation he replies, "Dane!" he loves him.
-likes to color and play with his cars.
-likes to dance. but will let you know if he doesn't like the song. SO you have to change it until he finds the one he likes.
-Still loves to read books.
-ABSOLUTELY LOVES going to Nursery. He runs to the door right when Sacrament is over.
-Pehrson found an old backpack that he wore when he went to preschool and Beck has worn it non-stop for the past two days. It is so cute. And I can't believe that in no time he will be going off to school. He is growing up too fast.
-He is one smart boy. (he gets it from his dad)

I LOVE watching life through his eyes.

San Diego

Pehrson just finished doing a 5 week externship down in San Diego. He was working in a clinic and really felt like a dentist. He went in and did the work and saw a lot of patients everyday. The kids and I were in LA and at my parents back and forth for the first 4 weeks. But then the last week our friend offered for us to stay at his beach house.

IT WAS AWESOME!

We got to see Pehrson in the morning and hang out with him (or I got to go run) before he left for work, he would get home around 5, go surfing and then we watched the sunset while eating dinner every night. It was truly heavenly.

We can't thank you Eric enough!!!

AND I got to explore San Diego with the kiddos and meet up with some of my favorite people. (and of course took a lot of pictures)

We went to a water park with Lindsay and Krew.
Found some cool murals and playgrounds.

Went to the Zoo!! Beck was on Cloud 9! He is really into Elephants right now and we watched them for about 30 minutes. He was mesmerized. And at night before he went to bed I said,"Beck did you have fun today?" He looked at me, smiled and whispered..."Elepents.." like he was going to be dreaming about them all night. It was the cutest thing. Worth every penny.
I meet up with my cute friend Lindsay. Our boys got along so well and were the cutest little blondies there.
Jade was there too. Just being cute!
We spent some time at the beach.
Here is Beck telling her to stop crying....and this is me telling her to stop crying. HA
best buds.
We went to Pehrson's office to see where he has been working for the last month. And Beck got a cleaning.
We also went to Balboa Park and found the children's science center. Beck is at the perfect age for all of this stuff. He could've been there for hours. He literally was RUNNING from thing to thing because he wanted to see it all.
Here is Jade just being cute. She loves her dad. (NEVER CRIES FOR HIM) and just gazes into his eyes. Pehrson is pretty smitten with her too.
We went out with some of our friends from Hawaii (the husbands were there too, but not pictured) such fun people. And yes Jade is naked because the restaurant was blazin hot and the poor girl was sweating.
I sure love spending time with this guy! Glad those 5 weeks are over and we all survived.

Jade's Blessing

We blessed our sweet little girl on Sunday and were lucky enough to have most of our family be there. Pehrson did a great job. There was such a sweet spirit in the room and the Love for this little girl was so abundant.

*The dress Jade is wearing was the one my sisters Jill, Annie, myself and my niece Quincy were all blessed in.

We love you Sweet Jade and so grateful you are in our home. We can't wait to watch you grow and be there every step of the way.

La Playa

The face below says it all!
and i mean seriously can this suit (and girl) get any cuter? Even if the suit is totally pointless...she rocked it!
We are taking full advantage of living walking distance to the beach. This summer has been a hot one and our place doesn't have AC so out of the house we go. Beck loves it here (luckily, he really has no choice) and so far Jade has been a champ. She usually just sleeps to the sound of the waves crashing and stays nice and cozy under her umbrella.

My creative brain has come to a hault lately. When I lived in Idaho I always thought of the most random things to do. But whenever Pehrson and I think of something to do our brains think BEACH. It will be interesting to see where we get sent to next year. I am excited for a new adventure. And really you can send me anywhere if I have these 3 around!

Real Mom Moment

I had a moment the other day that I have to document. Warning: this post talks about feces so if you can't handle that, then stop reading now.

But it was a friday morning and Beck woke up at his normal time of 6:00 am. He usually wakes up with a very full diaper so naturally that is the first thing I do every morning. Except trying to change this kid looks like a wrestling match most of the time. I have to chase him around the house and pin him down. But if its just pee (which is 99.9% of the time in the morning) I will take it off while he is running around. But this particular morning he was standing by my couch and I start to take off the diaper and out rolls a piece of poop down the front of my couch. GROSS! So I clean that up and scrub my couch clean.

Meanwhile sweet little Jade is lying on my bed, the poor thing hadn't pooped in 3 days, so she seemed extremely uncomfortable. After I'm done cleaning the couch I hear something in my room I walk in and this girl has had the blow out of all blow outs. Up her back all over my sheets and pillow case...everywhere! So I strip my bed and clean the sheets, throw them in the wash. Give her a bath.

I bring Jade into her room to dry her off and dress her. Beck decides to go into the bathroom while I'm doing this. We have never had problems with him playing with the toilet but in a matter of 5 minutes he has pulled a bunch of things out of the bathroom trash and thrown them in the the toilet and played with the plunger. I walk into the bathroom and he looks at me like he has created a masterpiece, very proud of himself. He is soaping wet, so I strip him and throw him in the bath tub. Clean out the toilet, scrub the bathroom floors, take out the trash.

I walk back into the bathroom only to find that my little boy has gone diarrhea. AWESOME! I pull him out of the bath. Drain the tub, clean and scrub like crazy and then bathe Beck again.

It's about 12:00 at this point and Pehrson got home from school early cause we were heading to our family reunion and says...you ready to go???

I laugh and say, "I have been cleaning poo for the last 5 hours! I haven't even brushed my teeth!"

It was quite the morning to say the least. So when you hear people say things like, "oh she is Just a mom, she probably gets her nails done everyday and lounges by the pool." I want to reply with this morning and say its not all glitz and glammer. I wouldn't change anything for a second. I love what I do. Cleaning poop. Calming crying babies. Dealing with tantrums. Seeing my body change. It is all worth it! Every single bit of it.

I just pray that I don't have too many more mornings like this one.

I am adjusting to two kids, it is work and we all have our moments...ie. these pictures say it all. (please notice beck in the stroller screaming/escaping)

But when we are happy I get double the smiles. double the love. double the sweet moments.
I love these two more than anything and feel so lucky to have them in my home.
