Funny Picture...

I know i have been totally slacking on blogging again...i don't know why. But we have been trying to get our house finished and ready for the arrival of our little babe. Last night, i looked around our apartment and realized we don't really have any pictures of us...we have one wedding picture on the desk but besides that, nothing. So i started looking through some old pictures (which always takes way longer than expected) and came across this...Please look at all the guys faces and then on the far left you see my dad...haha his face is priceless. I laughed out loud when i saw this.
Love you Dad...thanks for always watching out for us and making us laugh. Our weddings wouldn't have been the same without your dance moves.

A couple weekends ago we went camping at Point Mugu. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. There were tons of dolphins in the water so my man decided to bring his snorkel out and see what he could find...
ha booties and all...please notice the snorkel in this pic.
More surfing

Us ladies did lots of this...
It was a great weekend.

Getting bigger...

I wake up in the morning and after going straight to the bathroom i stop and think about how crazy it is that i am growing a human inside of me...yes a human with arms and legs and ears and eyes. What a miracle to watch this happen. Is this really happening??

I have been going to a pre-natal yoga class lately and it feels amazing. I feel like i'm in pretty good shape until i go to this class and realize how tight i really am. But, it's funny to look around the room and see all these other woman in awkward positions with big bellies. I wonder what they are thinking. What their life is like, what type of "pregnant women" they are. On my way home i was trying to think about what type i am. I would have to say that Pehrson has it pretty easy. I'm still pretty nice and I still haven't really had any cravings. I get hungry...but no cravings.

Here's an embarrassing story that felt totally logical at the time but now i feel horrible. The other day I was at the mall and I was SO hungry. Everything in sight looked good. I went to the food court and i swear every line was a mile long (maybe i'm exaggerating a little) I started waiting in the subway line cause it was the shortest and after about 15 minutes of waiting the sweet girl yells back to all of us in line that their atm wasn't working and that they would only accept cash. I looked at her and said "what??? are you serious??? well...can i write you a check??? big groans and moans...she said, "no sorry, but you can use the atm over there" i looked at her and said "NO i'm going somewhere else" I made a big scene and stormed off. You would have that the world was ending. I was so mad! and STILL SO hungry...i finally got food at some other ridiculously expensive sandwich place. But i was full and happy. I didn't even think twice about what i had done until i was driving home. I laughed out loud and then felt really bad. So subway lady if you're out there..."i'm sorry!"

And maybe my emotions have been a little more dramatic lately and i'll start crying over silly things like, baby clothes, baby shoes, seeing Pehrson hold the baby clothes or baby shoes, looking at an empty room knowing that in a couple months OUR baby will be in there. Any baby in general. I was making a salad and cut my finger really bad and i started crying...hard! turns out i didn't cut it that hard but you would thought i chopped my whole finger off and my favorite one of all was in the the beginning of pregnancy I got some dirt on my pants and I started crying because now i had to walk around with dirty pants. (that one is just stupid)

I've had a couple of those "i'm fat" days but then when i feel this little guy move or kick or dance or roll i know that everything is totally worth it! Nothing makes me happier than feeling him move around inside. I would have to say that his most active time is at night when i'm trying to go to bed, he is just getting the party started. I'll lay there and just feel him for a couple hours. i guess they say that if he is active at night on the inside he will be active at night on the outside too. SO maybe he is just preparing me for those late, long nights ahead.

But we are getting closer! each week goes by so quick and i am now seeing my doctor every two weeks. The time is going to fly. I feel so lucky to have this opportunity to be carrying this child of God. I love his little spirit so much already and can't wait to hold him and kiss him and love him forever. I hope that we can be the best parents we can be and that he will feel safe with us in these wicked times. I'm so glad that Heavenly Father constructed our lives to be centered around families. I don't know what i would do with out mine and I am SO excited to be making one of my own. I truly feel so blessed every day.

Thank you for this wonderful gift of Life.

Date NIght

P and i went on a date saturday. We went on a bike ride, had a picnic, played uno and tennis, then finished the night with some frozen yogurt. I always have so much fun with this guy. Our lives are going to change soon so we treasure the times when it's just the two of us.
And here is the lastest pic...i am definitely getting BIG! I feel like my stomach can't stretch anymore but i still have some time and i know it will get bigger...yikes! But, everything is still going smooth and baby is moving around like crazy. Some nights i can't fall asleep cause he is having a dance party in there. (and i wouldn't have it any other way)
Still don't have a name picked out. But working on it. We love you baby!!!
I think it has come to an end....
But I just wanted to document what our summer has been like. Lots of weddings. We love you all!!

Like father...Like son

This is a story about a man, a manly man, who knew how to use tools and built beds for his family.
He had the most adorable boy...
Who also grew up to be a manly man
He learned how to use tools and built his first bed.
It turned out great and it made his wife very happy.
So glad for fathers like this one who taught their boys to be men.

Us girls REALLY appreciate it!

"A good father's son will turn out like his father."

Funny people:

A couple weeks ago at girls camp:
on the first day,
girl, "wait...are you pregnant?"
me: YAY! and it's awesome.
girl: "oh good...cause i just thought you were fat"
and every day after that at camp she would come up and tell me i looked bigger than the day before. thanks little 12 year old girl. I would love to see how you look when you are pregnant some day. ha (i think she was trying to be nice)

At the gas station:

a GUY: "you're having a boy uh?"
me: yeah how did you know?
guy: "because you are pointy."
me: (um...thanks?)

Target:

Girl, "You're having a boy. You know how i know?...it's because your belly button is sticking out and that only happens to woman who are having boys. (she was probably 15)
I just smiled and said, "oh, i've never heard that before!"

I love how everyone has an opinion about pregnancy. What's good. What's not. But i wish i could capture every look i get during the day. The other mothers with big grins on their faces. People doing the double take. People looking at my belly, then my ring finger, then my belly again. I wonder what they are thinking.

Overall i have loved being pregnant! I'm sure some of you out there cringe when you hear that. But, it has been good to me and it is such a miracle to watch. The other night Pehrson and I were laying in bed and baby was going crazy inside. We just watched him move around and push my stomach out over and over again. I loved it! and i Love HIM!

3 more months...we can do this little guy!
