Baby #3

I have been 50/50 on finding out the gender of baby #3. I kept thinking well I have one of each it really doesn't matter either way. I love having a boy and I love having a girl. So I went to my doctors appointment (which is right across the street from Pehrson's Dental office) he was able to come with me to the ultrasound for about 30 minutes. We put the kids in the daycare on base so we could give this baby our full attention. I loved having Pehrson with me. He hasn't been able to come to any of my appointments and it's just always better having him there. When he had to go he gave me a look that made me think he knew what the gender was. (he denys it) Our appointment was on a wednesday. I had the Doctor write the gender on a paper and put it in an envelope. And decide later if we will look or not. Pehrson had a big test that he had to take that Saturday so the rest of the week I didn't really see him....finally on Sunday we decided that we would open it. The test was over and we could concentrate and get excited about it. At the end of our street there is a sand hill and so we climbed up to the top gave the envelope to Beck. He knows the letter "B" and points it out all the time so we figured if he opened it and could read it then it would be a boy....
He opened the envelope and all I heard was, "look a B for Beck!" It's a boy!! We both called it and we are thrilled. Still can't believe that another sweet little boy will be joining our family soon. 3 more months exactly from now.
We love this little boy so much already and so do the kids. B&J want to kiss and touch my belly all day long. Beck likes to remind me every day that my belly is getting bigger. We love you little guy. Thanks for being so good to me. And now the name search really begins. Picking a name is SO hard for us. But somehow it always works out.

We can't wait to meet you little boyfriend.....

Anniversary-5 years

Just when I thought this guy couldn't be more perfect he goes and does something like this and proves me wrong AGAIN! Our 5th anniversary was on December 20th. It is a hard time of year to do much so we usually just write a letter to each other or do something small. This year he took me out to dinner and gave me the nicest thing I have ever gotten in my life! It was a journal that he made for me. All hand sewn and perfectly done. I opened it up and read the first page. He dated it December 2012 and said for the next year I am going to write something that I love about you ever week! I couldn't believe. He did it all secretly and for the entire year of 2013 he wrote something he loved about me every single week!!! Still can't believe he did this. I of course started crying! And read each word with a smile on my face. He is seriously the most special person in my life. With out him I wouldn't have my beautiful children or the joy he brings to my life. He makes me feel beautiful and special every day! I seriously scored in the husband department....BIG TIME!! I don't know how he comes up with these things. But I am the luckiest girl in the whole world to sleep next to him every night.
I love you Perhson! Thank you for loving me the way that you do. So happy I get to spend forever with my best friend!

Beck-3 years

It's also been a while since I've updated this blog about my big 3 year old. Isn't he just the cutest boy? Man he brings us so much joy and every day really does get better and more fun with him.
Here are a few things this boy is up to...
1) He is starting to potty train....and is getting it! WOOHOO! (third times a charm)
2) He makes holidays so much fun! He is starting to get it and asking me quesitons about it all the time. He still loves talking about Halloween and wore his shark costume for the next couple weeks. See photo below, getting the mail.
3) He is a picky eater. But is getting better....kind of!
4) Loves riding his bike or scooter.
5) Loves Play-doh. He makes is cars superhero capes every morning. So creative.
6) Loves the park and chasing the birds at the beach.
7) Loves being around friends...Luke. Will and Dane.
8) His favorite color is green.
9) Becoming more confident with himself. He is usually a little timid to try something new, but he is figuring things out and it is SO fun to watch.
10) Loves catching frogs and lizards.
11) Loves playing with his legos, puzzles, cars, hide & seek (but always tells me where he is), basketball and any kind of tool.
12) Has a special connection with babies. He loves rubbing my belly and when Piper was here he LOVEd holding her, making her laugh...etc. He uses a high pitched voice and says, "they are so tute!"
13) loves finding the letter B where ever we are.
14) Started sunbeams this year and I get to be in primary with him. He did great. Sat there the whole time and would look back at me with a big smile and wave. He then introduced himself and said he was 3. I may have gotten a little teary eyed.
15) Picks out his clothes and jammies every day. He is getting so independent and loves to put on his clothes himself....with a little help.
16) Has started drawing and writing his letters.
17) Gets so excited when he figures something out.
18) his favorite songs he sings every day, "old mcdonald, ABC's, Cars song "life is a highway!", Jake and the Neverland Pirates song, teenage mutant ninja turtles and a spiderman song that he made up on his own.
19) He will also stop everyone when a good song comes on (i usually always have music playing) and he yells, "dance party everyone!" we all have to stop what we are doing and dance. I LOVE
THAT!
20) And no one makes him laugh like Daddy! He thinks the world of his dad. We all do. =]
Two of my favorite things about Beck.
I love the way he gets excited when he hears or sees Jade. He really is so sweet with her. And if she ever cries, he rubs her back and says in his sweet voice, "it's okay sweetie!" And I love when I see him give her a kiss when no one else is around. And says, "Jadey you're my best friend!"

I also love bedtime with Beck. He is our night owl. He will try everything he knows to stay up just a little bit longer. But this is the time he tells me the best stories or we talk about our day or what we want to do tomorrow. He says the sweetest things and will end with, "mom you're the bestest girl in the whole world!" (again tear jerker)
Beck is becoming the best little helper. He always holds the door open for me and brings in the groceries for me. He loves helping and always says, "mom, im the bestest helper!" We love Beck's personality so much! He is so fun and so happy. Of course he has his moments but overall he is so good to us all!

We love you Beckster. You are the bestest big brother in the whole world!

Jade-18 Months

It has been a long time since I've done an update on my sweet little girl. Our family wouldn't be the same without her. She is truly a gem! Here are a few things this girl has been up to....
1) Everything Beck does she does.
2) Talks and talks and talks. She will repeat anything you say. Her favorite sayings right now are "I want some!" to anyone who has food (with a big smile on her face) and "Hi Deck!" and while shaking her finger "No, No Daddy!" "Help me!" and her favorite "SPIN! SPIN!"
3) She is our adrenaline junky! Loves to spin, be thrown, jump in the water, skate, bike, scoot, do handstands and get wrestled.
4) She loves to skateboard. And is seriously so good.
5) Loves to give my belly kisses and rub her hand up and down and say soft...soft. And "Hi baby!"
6) Charges any dog she sees! Has no fear and loves them. Our neighbor has two and they are so good to her.
7) Loves Minnie Mouse...and anything Beck is playing with.
8) Loves to get muddy and dirty and run around in the rain.
9) But also likes to wear all my necklaces and shoes. And say "ooooh la la!"
10) Is a DREAM when it comes to bedtime. She practically begs me every night and nap time. "ni night..." while holding her blankie. I hope the rest of our kids are like that!
11) Also loves food! Eats whatever you give her.
12) Has been going to nursery for a couple months now and has never had a problem. She loves it.
13) Loves to dance....ALL THE TIME!
14) Is always making me laugh and keeping us all on our toes.
15) Loves her brother so much and loves holding his hand. Melts my heart.
16) Loves to help me in the kitchen and see exactly what i'm doing.
17) Also likes to help me get ready in the morning.
18) Has a mullet. One of the best ones I've ever seen. Her hair just doesn't grow on top.
A couple stories I have to write down so I'll never forget.

-We went home to California when Annie had Piper. While we were there I was able to take the kids to Disneyland a couple times. Beck loved all the characters and ran up to them no problem. But Jade was much more hesitant. (which surprised me!) All day had gone by and we had seen quite a few characters. The last one we saw was Donald Duck over at California Adventure. Beck and Dane ran up and gave him a big hug and took a picture with him. Jade wouldn't go near him. Just looked. As we were leaving she wiggled out of my arms, made her way back through the crowd of people, walked right up to Donald. Luckily he saw her and gave her a big kiss on the head. She turned around and walked away gleaming! She was so proud of herself that she overcame her fear.
She is definitely one determined little girl.
-Another story that I love of Jade was when we were at the park here in Destin. There is this annoying little boy that is ALWAYS there. He is probably Beck's age. And he is such a bully. He spits and pushes and takes everything away from other kids. After a while Beck got really frustrated with him eventually just started to avoid him. Which I thought was very big of him. But Jade on the other hand always kept an eye on him. One time she was digging in the sand and he used her as a step to get on top of the playground, basically face planting her in the sand. She got up so fast went right up to his face and screamed, "NOOOOO!" that boy NEVER bothered her again. And still to this day is afraid of her. She is not a fighter but if someone else starts it she WILL finish it.
There is nothing I love more than hearing her sweet voice say "Mama!" She is my little buddy. And on the daily Pehrson and I look at her and say, "ah man I love her!" she is just a beautiful girl inside and out. I hope it stays that way! We love having her spirit in our home and feel so lucky to be her parents.
We love you Jadey! SO much!

Beck turns 3!

Three years have gone by since this sweet boy made us parents. He is truly a joy to be around and gets more and more fun every day. He loves the Disney show "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" so that was the theme of his birthday this year. He invited 3 friends cause he was turning 3. And they were in character all day! Made it so fun. It was small and simple and Beck loved it!

I put them on a treasure hunt! First they had to find the map on the playground. (don't look too close, i'm not an artist!)
They got their eye patches and their swords.

Then they had to pop all the Jelly fish...aka packaging wrap.
Then they had to help the poor Octupus find the rest of his legs (arms?) he only had 4 so they had to "pin the other 4 on the octopus"
Then they had to use their swords and fight off the sea monsters that were attacking them in the garage.
Then they rode their bikes and scooters to Sand Hill. (Beck insisted on being the leader!)
And they had to find the "X"

 They found the "X"
And dig up the barried treasure!

 Arrrrr Mateys....Job well done!
Jadey was there keeping all the boys in line!
They got back opened some gifts.
Ate Cake!
Beck's face when he first saw the cake. SUCCESS!
Eating Pizza, cake & ice cream.
Jade was the only one to finish eating it all. The boys were too busy playing.
They got some goody bags and that was that!
It was sweet and simple and my boy couldn't have been happier. He still talks about his treasure hunt and how they found the "X" and the gold.

It was a lot of fun and the boys all had a blast. Til next year....

Thanksgiving 2013

Most of my family was able to come out to Florida for Thanksgiving this year. (My brother and his family sadly couldn't make it!) We had so much fun. Everyone stayed at our house and surprisingly worked out really well. We even had some friends passing through (the Wares) and they slept in our Van in the garage, which made it a total of 15 people in our little place. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way! It was SO much fun and Beck&Jade were having the time of their lives with cousins Dane, Quincy and Piper (Beck is obsessed with Pipes).

I didn't take a ton of pictures but the ones I did take I think I lost. Can't find them anywhere. SO SAd! I must have accidently deleted them or lost them when I switched over to my new phone. But I still wanted to share some pictures that my wonderfully talented sister Jill took, she's amazing and so are these beaches!

I am so grateful for this growing family of mine! There is nothing that brings me more joy than these three faces. (and that growing belly of mine!) and the beach of course....
Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving!

Halloween!

Halloween is an obvious favorite. Get dressed up and knock on a strangers door and they give you candy? What more could a kid want? When I first asked Beck what he wanted to be for Halloween he said a super hero. So I ordered some awesome leggings from American Apparel and was going to get some fabric for a cape. But we went to California the beginning of October and Beck found Dane's old Shark costume. After trying it on and having a dance party with his cousins there was no turning back. He told anyone and everyone that he was going to be a shark for Halloween. I think he asked me every day in the month of October (and still likes to remind me) that he is a shark. A "scary shark" so we went with it. I made Jade a little rainbow fish costume. And they were the cutest little sea creations that ever walked the streets. Beck played his part all night. He would walk up to each door and say,"chomp, chomp, chomp!" Then trick or treat and he'd turn around and say okay lets go to the next house! Jade was Miss Independent. She wanted to walk the whole time and wouldn't let anyone hold her heavy candy bucket. Her little legs have never moved so fast in her life. We took a couple candy breaks and these kids crashed when we got home. The best part about it was that it was just our little family. I know these years of our kids wanting to be with us on Halloween night are few so we are soaking it in. These two kept us laughing all night long.

I mean seriously do they get any cuter...?
The night before Halloween we had a trunk or treat at the church. We decided that with an awesome trunk or treat van like this we had to go all out! So we made it into a shark as well. And the best thing about it was that the kids had to go in the van and get their candy. We had three different boxes with two holes cut into each one. One side of the box had the candy and if you choose the wrong one you were putting your hand in either ice, cooked spaghetti (zombie brains), or jello (zombie blood). It was a hit. I have ALWAYS wanted to do this ever since someone did it to me when I was probably 8 or 9. And of course we had to dress up too. (I hope I'm never too old to dress up) we were innocent snorkelers that got attacked by a shark! What a fun night.
Every night when Beck says his prayers he says, "thank you that we could go trick or treating...." it has made quite the impression on him. Holidays are the BEST with KIDS!! and it is just going to get better.

Until next year....
